The Leica Rugby 55 provides the today's contractor with the tools needed for virtually any leveling or alignment job. The Leica Rugby 55 features an easy to use keypad, a watertight seal, variable head speeds, selectable scanning modes, a bright red beam and alkaline or rechargeable battery pack.

With the Leica Rugby 55 the scanning or stationary beam can be quickly positioned in 90° increments... making layout easier by quickly moving the beam to the left of right side of the Leica Rugby 55. 
 
Beam Down Mode
By selecting zero rps with the head speed button, the rotating head automatically positions itself in a plumb down direction for alignment of the Leica Rugby 55 over a reference point.

   
Sleep Mode
Pressing the Up and Down buttons together on the remote will put the Leica Rugby into sleep mode for two hours to save battery life without disturbing your setup.

Always automatic - Always self-leveling
The Leica Rugby 50 is designed to always turn on in automatic self-leveling mode. No concerns for setting up the laser incorrectly. Set up the Leica Rugby 50 within its wide leveling range, the instrument will automatically self-level and work can begin. 
 
H.I. (Elevation) Alert
The H.I. or Elevation Alert function monitors the leveling of the Leica Rugby 50. Any significant disturbance or movement of the tripod will cause the alert function to activate. The Leica Rugby 50 will stop operation and will sound an alarm to prevent possible errors.
   
Out of level indication
During normal operation, the Leica Rugby 50 continuously self-levels. Small vibrations and disturbances may cause an out of level condition. The head will stop momentarily and the emission LED will blink until the unit re-levels and work can resume.

With the Leica Builder, Leica Geosystems is aiming experts in the building sector who have up to now shied away from using professional measuring instruments. In the design priority of making the theodolite as easy-to-use as possible for beginners, the advantages and the added value of the Leica Builder become evident: its uniquely easy-to-operate control concept accelerates common construction site jobs, e.g. stake-out or plumbing.

The Leica Builder is specially designed to meet the needs of building experts. Robust, it withstands wind, weather and dirt, it is easy to transport and most of all, extremely easy-to-use – features that save a lot of time in the field. The three models – Builder T, Builder R and Builder RM – are based on the same software and have the same concept of user interface. This makes switching from one model to the next extremely easy. The user can grow with rising demands – the user interfaces of the theodolites however, do not become more complicated.

No matter if a quick stake-out is required or plumbing, measurements, angle or slope determinations or the combination of laser distance and angle measurements, saving and calling up measured data or construction information: the three models of the Leica Builder have the right construction site solution in store for you.


Angles, distances and even a digital construction plan
Thanks to its unique features, such as the laser plummet, endless drive and the large display, the Builder T is the most efficient theodolite on the market. The Builder R enables measurements of up to 250 m with its electronic laser distance measuring system – thanks to the unique combination of focused visible red laser and flat prism. Together with an angle measurement, every point can be determined in reference to a line as well as in height with a single measurement– without having to reconfigure the Builder.
The Builder RM can even contain a digital construction plan: on the construction site construction data can be called up, measurements saved and the information can be directly transferred to a PC for editing. This eliminates mistakes in reading and writing.
